Ex-Elite Rated Manager given five Fidelity funds to run
Fidelity International has announced that Bill McQuaker, who joined them from Henderson last year, has been appointed portfolio manager of the five funds in the Fidelity Multi Asset Open range.
Bill was co-head of Henderson's multi-asset team, and manager of the Henderson Multi-Manager Income & Growth fund, before leaving the company. On his departure, the Henderson Multi-Manager Income & Growth fund lost its Elite Rating.
Following extensive consultation with clients, Fidelity has also decided to revise the investment objectives of the Fidelity Multi Asset Open Funds to show specific return targets and provide enhanced clarity on the underlying investments. These changes will take place on 14 March and will not impact the risk profiles of the funds.
James Bateman, Chief Investment Officer for Fidelity Multi Asset, commented: “Bill is a highly experienced multi asset investor with a proven track record of alpha generation and we are delighted to be passing one of our flagship fund ranges to his stewardship.”
