Just two years after its launch, FundCalibre has won the CFI.co Best Investment Fund Research UK Award for 2016.

Each year, CFI.co’s judging panel seeks out individuals and organisations that contribute significantly to the convergence of economies and truly add value for all stakeholders. The awards aim to identify and reward excellence and to inspire others to further improve their own performance.

Commenting on the win, the judging panel said: “Taking the guesswork out of the investment process, FundCalibre provides a valuable service to the independent investor. It enables experienced investors to help validate decisions and find hidden gems, while newcomers may benefit from its simple, easy-to-understand ratings system; straightforward, jargon-free research notes; and weekly editorial email to highlight and explain major financial news.”

Darius McDermott, managing director of FundCalibre, added: “It’s great to win such an award. We set out with the aim of making available quality, independent fund research to the general public and it’s good to know we are succeeding. 2017 is an exciting year for us as we develop our services further. We will be adding investment trust research shortly, as well as making more detailed information available to the adviser community.”
