Old Mutual funds get rebranded

Elite Rated Old Mutual Global Equity Absolute Return, Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies and Old Mutual UK Alpha have all had a name change.

The rebrand came into effect on 1 October 2018, when the Old Mutual Global Investors single strategy business, which was acquired in a management buyout in June 2018, rebranded the business to become Merian Global Investors.

The name was inspired by the remarkable life of the scientist, adventurer and artist Maria Sibylla Merian. The newly named company has assets under management of £34.3 billion as at 31 July 2018.

Elite Radar fund Old Mutual Gold & Silver has also been rebranded.

The multi-asset business of Old Mutual Global Investors was not part of this deal, and is now part of Quilter Investors.
