F&C brand goes as funds renamed ‘BMO’

Elite Rated F&C Global Smaller Companies Trust, F&C MM Navigator Distribution and F&C Real Estate Securities have all had a name change.

Following the integration of F&C into BMO Global Asset Management three years ago, the company has decided that, from 12 November 2018, all funds should carry the BMO brand name.

As such, F&C Global Smaller Companies has become BMO Global Smaller Companies, F&C MM Navigator Distribution has become BMO MM Navigator Distribution, and F&C Real Estate Securities has become BMO European Real Estate Securities.

Although the latter has had the word ‘European’ added, there is no change to the investment strategy of any of the funds: this particular fund has always invested in both UK and European property shares, and the company is simply trying to make this more obvious in the fund name.

Investors do not need to take any action. All it means is that the fund name will be different on all statements, marketing and fund literature going forward.
