On 14 April 2025 it was announced that Rosemary Banyard, manager of the VT Downing Unique Opportunities fund will be stepping back from managing the fund on a day-to-day basis. Although Rosemary will remain as a consultant with Downing, management was handed to the Downing UK Equity Team, with Josh McCathie being named as the new lead manager. Unfortunately, this change in management and style must result in the removal of our Elite Radar rating on the fund.

Earlier this month, it was announced that changes were made to Premier Miton’s global equity investment team, to ensure a more integrated approach to the structure of the team covering large & mid cap, sustainable and small cap portfolios. As a result, the Premier Miton Global Smaller Companies fund, previously managed by Alan Rowsell alongside Imogen Harris, will now be run by Neil Birrell, who has been CIO at Premier Miton since 2013. Unfortunately, this change in management must result in the removal of our Elite Radar rating on the fund.
