The co-managers of Kames Global Sustainable Equity fund, Craig Bonthron and Neil Goddin, have left the company, along with ESG specialist Ryan Smith, who worked closely with the managers and had an effective veto on any holdings.
They have been replaced by Andrei Kiselev and Malcolm McPartlin, who will be supported by Audrey Ryan, the current manager of the Kames Ethical Equity Fund and Elite Rated Kames Ethical Cautious Managed fund.
Although the investment process remains the same and the team is strong, we feel the combination of the co-managers and their ESG specialist leaving is significant. It is therefore with regret that, after such a short time, the Kames Global Sustainable Equity fund must lose its Elite Radar status.
